Our mission is to cultivate a nationwide community of young people who, as resilient and innovative thinkers, proactively address future challenges today and envision a purposeful career in agriculture for their future.
OUR THEORY OF CHANGE
Empowerment occurs when young people have hope, capability, and authority to take meaningful action.
It materialises when the community fosters their growth, recognising capacities and strengths.
Opportunities for active contributions and service to communities play a crucial role in this process.
For 20 years Action4griculture has been growing tomorrow’s leaders today
Our programs have been highly successful in engaging young people in conversations about agriculture and the environment.
It has been very rewarding to see a number of these young people transcend into careers in these two very important sectors.
We are currently working with St Vincent De Paul to find organisations who have the capacity and capability to replicate and scale our programs.
This partnership has found new homes for Kreative Koalas and the Young Environmental Champions programs.
We look forward to sharing with you the next era for The Archibull Prize and Young Farming Champions programs.
Our programs empowering young people to action on issues that matter to them and their communities and amplifying young voices in public life.
Young Farming Champions
The Young Farming Champions are emerging leaders in the Agriculture Sector. Our program trains them to be role models, confident and trusted voices, for the industry/sector.
“The world needs creative, innovative and courageous young people who can connect, collaborate and act. Young people may only be 20% of the population but they are 100% of the future. The time is now to let them share their dreams and design the future they want to create.”
The Archibull Prize
The Archibull Prize program engages school students in agricultural and sustainability awareness, understanding and action through art, design, creativity, teamwork, and project development.
Primary school students develop an understanding of the importance of sustainability through a creative and fun multi-dimensional project. Using the UNSDGS as a foundation, the project brings together students and the community in a collaborative partnership.
